• Before lighting: trim the wick to about 1cm and stand the candle upright on a stable, heat resistant surface, away from draughts, curtains and other sources of heat. Remove all packaging first and do not use it if the jar is damaged.
• Burning safely: never leave a burning candle unattended, keep it out of reach of children and pets, leave at least 10cm between burning candles and burn for no more than 2 to 3 hours at a time. Snuff out the flame rather than blowing it out, and stop using it when 10mm of wax remains.
