Declutter

If your kitchen is getting messy and full of items you no longer use, then it's probably time you start to de-clutter.

Begin by removing any out of date foods left in your food cupboard. Position your foods in a way you can see clearly what you have, essential for reducing food wastage and helping you save money.

Tidy away anything you don't leave frequently. For hot drink making, you could create your own little set-up where the mugs, teaspoons and coffee/tea are.

For dried pasta and rice try grouping them and storing them in jars and tubs so you can see clearly what they are. Our airtight storage tubs are perfect for storing dried foods like pasta, rice, cereals and biscuits.

Next move on to cleaning your small kitchen appliances like the toaster, microwave or kettle. You can wipe down most appliances with a damp cloth and dish soap, and dry off with a soft cloth or paper towel.

Make your own homemade kitchen cleaner by steaming the inside of your microwave with warm water and vinegar. The steam will loosen all the food particles making it easier to wipe away afterwards.
