The additions of The Pink Stuff Multipurpose Spray Cleaner and The Pink Stuff Cream Cleaner to the range only intensified the miraculous cleaning power of Stardrops' The Pink Stuff range, expanding its uses threefold, both indoors and outdoors. Then The Pink Stuff Bathroom Foam Cleaner came along, bringing bubbles to the party with it's targeted cleaning power.

And in true Stardrops style, these new additions contain no harsh chemicals to be extremely effective around your home and in your washing machine.

With this in mind, we've put together a handy guide of our top 5 useful ways that everyone's new favourite cleaning range can not only clean things and tackle stains in and around your home, but it can revive things you may have long-considered too overcome by dirt, grime or baked-on scum to use anymore. Prepare to be impressed.

Before we start, it’s important to remember that The Pink Stuff Paste is a mild abrasive cleaner, and should be used with a little care.

So, keep the following in mind:

  1. Always test on an inconspicuous area.
  2. Apply using a soft cloth or sponge.
  3. Rub gently before rinsing off with clean water.

And with that out of the way, it's time to select your weapon of choice

To apply The Pink Stuff paste, we recommend you should use a soft cloth or sponge so you can be more precise. Products from Spontex are ideal but cheaper, third-party versions will work too.

Our top 'The Pink Stuff' cleaning tips:

Grouting and ceramic tiles

Tiles and grouting are very susceptible to attracting dirt and becoming tarnished and stained over time. This can affect the overall look and feel of ‘freshness’ and cleanliness in your bathroom. But here The Pink Stuff can definitely help, with startling results.

Using your sponge or cloth, apply The Pink Stuff paste onto the discoloured or dirty grouting (and onto the tiles as well if they’re stained). Leave the paste on for 10 minutes and then go back and gently scrub with a toothbrush or small cleaning brush (small enough so the bristles can get good contact on the line of grouting, basically).

Then rinse off the paste with water and your sponge and you’ll be left with cleaner, ‘brightened’ grouting and tiles in your bathroom.

    Oven Hob

The oven can end-up looking like a bomb has dropped on it if the results of everyday use are allowed to build up too much with burnt-on food, liquid, smears, and stains.

But The Pink Stuff has the perfect cream cleaner for freshening-up the surface of your oven’s hob and removing tough marks off the burner caps, as well as the heads.

Simply apply The Pink Stuff onto the area you want to clean using your sponge or cloth, spread evening across the area (it doesn’t need to be really thick). Then after leaving for 10 minutes, gently wipe away. You'll notice that it tackles the marks, dirt, or burnt-on stains with ease. If you need to, leave the paste to settle for longer on harsher stains and marks.

    Trainers or leather shoes

You’ll marvel at how The Pink Stuff can turn once white trainers that have dulled and have marks and scrapes on, back to their brilliant-white best. Tough on stains, it’ll even get the dirt and mud off the soles, too.

You can do this with any colour shoe but the results look more pronounced on white and lighter shades.

All you have to do is apply the Pink Stuff cream to the outside of the shoe with your sponge or cloth. Leave for a minute, then use your rinsed sponge or cloth to wipe away the paste, leaving a rejuvenated, bright shoe or trainer in its wake.

For sullied soles, repeat the same process but gently scrub off with a washing-up brush for a finished result that makes the shoe or trainer look like new.

      1. Rust

The Pink Stuff is also willing and able to get rid of rust you may find in your home and garden – like around the weld-points of surfaces of a metal towel rail, or outdoor furniture. Simply apply The Pink Stuff onto the rust-affected area – taking care to use a liberal amount as a small amount goes a surprisingly long way.

Rub away the rust with any kind of cleaning tool – a small multi-purpose cleaning brush, or even a toothbrush. Once rust is removed rinse-off the paste or spray and polish with a clean dry cloth. Your once rust-afflicted item will now sparkle, almost as good as new.

      1. Sinks

Whatever your style of sink, whether it’s a farmhouse, white porcelain, stainless steel, or granite composite, The Pink Stuff can help get rid of marks, stubborn dirt build-up, and difficult watermarks.

Work your way around the sink, applying a generous amount of The Pink Stuff with your sponge in the required areas on the base, sides, and around the plug hole and drainage hole. Leave for a few minutes, then rinse away by turning on the hot water tap. Say hello to your bright new sink.

We hope these hints and tips on cleaning with The Pink Stuff have helped. Why not get in touch and let us know your cleaning successes with this ‘Miracle’ cleaning range, whether from this list or on any of the hundreds of other things it can be used on?
