How To Declutter Your Home

How to declutter your home

The New Year Is here and there’s no better way to start it than by having a good old declutter. If you’re anything like us, then you’ll know how easy it is to let things pile up and get a bit messy. After a good declutter, you’ll definitely feel better for it. But we know how hard it is to get motivated so we have put together some helpful advice and tips to give you that extra boost to de-clutter your home.

To start off, have a think about all the items in your house that you use regularly or what you plan to use in the near future. A good rule of thumb is if you haven’t used an item in the past 18 months then it’s likely that you never will. Other items in your home could be given a new lease of life by up-cycling furniture or as painting an old coffee table and adding some new handles to an old chest of drawers. Other  unwanted items such as clothing can be given to charity, sold at car boots, given away to friends and family or you could sell on a marketplace.

Once you’ve got a head start on the initial clutter, you’ll be able to have a clearer head to sort out the rest of your home.
